Hey Change-Makers,
We all know that we live in a world of discord and inequality. We see it around us every day. A world rife with poor health. A world where many of us live live removed from our purpose. But I believe it doesn’t have to be this way.
- I believe everyone is born with a Passion.
- I believe that our purpose is to embrace our passion and offer it as value to society, and to the world.
- I believe that when we sow our passion and value creation, like seeds in soil, we can reap rewards through living our true purpose.
I call this the Trifecta – Passion, Value, Reward.
And when your Trifecta is aligned you are living your true purpose!
It is my opinion that if we lived in a world where each of us was living our true purpose, we would be living in a super-society. A society with far more advanced technology, because the people innovating and designing new technologies would be living their purpose, pursuing their passion and bettering society simultaneously.
However many of us struggle with figuring out just what our passion is. So how can we achieve the Trifecta if we don’t know where to start?
The good news is that it’s never too late to align your Trifecta, my friend!
Let me tell you about finding my own true purpose in hopes that it might help you…
I hit my lowest point in 2012, when I experienced my own transcendental event, which sparked my journey. (OBE anybody??)
For me, before I take anything on, whether it’s a new client, a new technology, or game, I need to see how it works. The best way for me to do this is to generally pull it apart and put it back together again. I built my first website when I was 16 by pulling them apart and reverse-engineering them. It’s just how I tick!
So when I was 33, I was still struggling to understand the purpose of the world, and although I had a great business, great friends, something was still missing. I couldn’t understand how the world worked in order to find out how and where I truly fit in it. I was starting my path to understand my true purpose.
So I set out on a journey of self-discovery, and self-development, and the study of society, and Oh my, did I sure find out how much exists outside of the ultra limited matrix that we live in.
In any case, I was interested in working out how society is structured to find my place within it, and I realised that there was a major issue affecting not just me, but many of us. Most people are not aligning their passion, purpose and vocations, which from my research, leaves individuals unaligned, many of which who fall into depression (me included at the time).
Discovering this truth eventually led me to another huge revelation – that my passion and purpose is to help inform others of theirs!
Working out what your passion is to start aligning your Trifecta is not always easy but understand that we all have one. There are a plethora of tools that can help guide you there, such as understanding your Myers Briggs (personality), your DISC profile (strengths and weaknesses), your Numerology and Astrology (if you’re into the ancient technology like me), and this all paints the picture of your avatar to society when you combine them with what you love (your passion). Give it a try.
In an article published by the Guardian in 2012, “Top Five Regrets of the Dying” a nurse reveals that the most common regret of the people on their deathbed: “I wish I had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.”
As an exercise I would like to ask you tonight, when you are going to sleep, to close your eyes and imagine it is your last night on this Earth. Have you lived a life true to yourself?
When we align our Trifecta we are living a life true to ourselves, and in turn we can better society.
So when you go to bed tonight, ask yourself this question: am I living my true purpose?
If so, hats off to you. You’re in the super minority.
And if not, maybe now is the time to consider doing so, because it’s never too late to align your Trifecta.
